Paediatric Level Two
This course looks at the wonderful growth and development unique to the first few years of life, including measurement and evaluation of the milestones of language, fine motor, gross motor and social skills.
Level two covers:
The growth and development from 9 months to 3 years, as well as an introduction to the treatment of the viscera to help in the normalisation of growth and development. We also look at ear, nose and throat, as well as orthopaedics, with a focus on understanding and treating relevant conditions for children in this age group.
Academics will cover:
- The eruption of dentition
- Orthopaedics
- The function of the gastrointestinal tract
- The pancreas, liver and gallbladder
- Growth and developmental assessments
- Development of drawing and fine motor skills
Practicals will cover:
- The face
- Dentition
- Ear, nose and throat for glue ear and complex hearing problems
- The CV4 for juvenile arthritis
- The midline treatment for scoliosis and the core function of the skull and pelvis
- The pancreas, liver and gallbladder
- Hip dysplasia and CDH - part II
Each course is designed to stand alone and it is not necessary to attend the various levels sequentially.
Students with all levels of experience will benefit from this course.
