Course Components
SELF DEVELOPMENT
Start with yourself - Self development is vital. If we don't develop as people and practitioners, we will be less likely to be able to help our patients in a changing and challenging world. We will look at how to build trust and confidence in yourself and then how to convey this to your patients.
PRACTICAL CLINICAL SKILLS
All the courses are heavily biased towards clinical practice and at least half the time is spent on learning the practical skills necessary to treat patients. Students will learn techniques and gain confidence in using methods to improve and deepen palpation and perception.
ACADEMIC LEARNING
Knowledge helps promote clinical safety and clinical excellence. Anatomy revision is included in all courses but from Giles' point of view it is living and the emphasis is put on the living anatomy under your hands.
BUSINESS AND PRACTICE MANAGEMENT
We will look at the obstacles that are faced in managing our patient portfolios and how to attract new business. Patient return and retention is discussed in relation to the patient type under review, with an overall focus on building an established patient list. We will also cover the marketing and communication necessary to achieve these goals.
